Permanent Makeup

Permanent makeup (micro-pigmentation, cosmetic tattooing) is a procedure used to enhance or replace lost skin colour, correct imperfections, and improve lip, eyebrow or eyeliner volume by injecting pigment into the upper layer of the skin.

About Permanent Makeup

Permanent makeup, also known as cosmetic tattooing or micropigmentation, is a process of applying semi-permanent pigment to the skin to mimic the look of makeup. This technique is used to enhance the features of the face, such as eyebrows, eyeliner, and lips, and can last for several years with proper care.

Benefits of Permanent Makeup

Permanent makeup has become increasingly popular due to its many benefits. Some of these benefits include:

  • Saves Time: Permanent makeup eliminates the need for daily makeup application, saving you time in your daily routine.
  • Perfect for Those with Allergies: If you have allergies to traditional makeup products, permanent makeup is an excellent alternative.
  • Enhances Features: Permanent makeup can enhance and define the features of the face, such as eyebrows and lips, creating a more polished look.
  • Perfect for Those with Vision Impairment: If you have vision impairment, permanent makeup can make it easier to apply makeup daily.
  • Long-Lasting: With proper care, permanent makeup can last for several years, saving you money on traditional makeup products.

I recently had permanent makeup on my brows and lips with Tyra. I couldn’t highly recommend her enough. It’s obvious that she is extremely knowledgeable, and made me feel comfortable and confident in the treatment. The results have been AMAZING! I just wear a clear gloss and brush my eyebrows, then ready to go! Tyra spent time to carefully choose the best shape and colour, which has left me with a beautifully natural but enhanced look. The aftercare left me feeling like I could contact her anytime, and they healed so quickly. If you want absolute 5 star service and treatment, then you need to see her. Thank you again x

I received the lip tattoo treatment and I could not be happier! The experience was enjoyable and despite some inevitable discomfort, she did an amazing job making sure I was happy and comfortable! The numbing cream was extremely effective and the process was very cool! I did not feel pain. I felt very safe the whole time and there is such a nice range of lip colours to choose from! I can’t recommend enough!

I've visited Tyra three times, for eyebrows, eyeliner and lips. Each time, Tyra thoroughly explained what to expect in terms of the procedure and expected pain, we discussed colours that were suitable for my complexion and decided together what would work best for me. After the procedures, Tyra explained aftercare and when to expect full results to be visible, she was also on hand for any questions I had after which was really appreciated. I am in love with the results! It's been such a big confidence boost for me and I would highly recommend Tyra if you're considering any semi-permanent makeup. Thanks again!

This type of tattoo technique is performed using hypoallergenic, pharmaceutical grade mineral pigments superficially deposited into the upper dermal layer using the highest quality single-use, sterile needles to mimic conventional makeup for beautiful, long lasting results.

Pigments fade with time and the exact timing of this process differs from client to client depending on many factors including; the shade of the colour used, thickness of the skin in the area treated along with sun exposure etc. Periodic ‘retouches’ are advised to keep your result looking fresh and beautiful.

Sensitivity and pain tolerance differs widely amongst individuals but with the use of prescription grade topical numbing solutions prior to and during the treatment, any discomfort is greatly reduced to maximise client comfort.

Cosmetic tattooing is very safe when Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to, including the use of disposable, single-use needles and procedural items along with proper sterilization and disinfection protocols.
